Neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) laser crystal is one of the most popular solid-state laser materials of today. A good fluorescence lifetime and thermal conductivity, as well as a robust nature, make Nd:YAG crystals suitable for high-power continuous wave, high-intensity Q-switched and single- mode operations.
